California Forklift Masts

California Forklift Masts - California has a strong economy and a large population. This state of the United States extends from the Pacific Coastline east to the Sierra Nevada mountains and south towards the Mojave Desert. Sacramento is the state capital. The state of California is the nation's most inhabited state and the third-biggest in terms of land area. Just Alaska and Texas are bigger. The economy is so strong that if California State were a country, it would be the 8th-largest economy in the world. Of the nation's fifty most inhabited cities, eight are located here: Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose, Fresno, Sacramento, Long Beach and the city of Oakland.

California is situated along the Pacific Ring of Fire. About 37,000 earthquakes are recorded here annually. The diverse environment includes the highest point within the contiguous United States, Mount Whitney, and the lowest point, Death Valley. The long shoreline is exceeded in length only by Florida's and Alaska's coastlines.

Los Angeles City is the rewarding center of the United States entertainment trade. The technology and information sectors flourished in the late 20th century in the region called Silicon Valley. The 20th century also saw the growth of the tourism sector. Aerospace, manufacturing and education are other important sectors of the state economy. The five largest sectors offering jobs in California State are trade, transportation, and utilities; professional, business and government services; health and education services; and hospitality and leisure. California's major agricultural area is situated in Central Valley. The state of California produces roughly 50% of the fresh fruit in the US and much of the vegetables.

One-quarter of the state's economy depends on international trade. The value of exports continues to increase, from $127 billion worth of goods during 2006, to $134 billion during 2007, to $144 billion during the year 2008. The top exports are electronic and computer products, accounting for over 40 percent of all exports of California State. Agriculture is another growth sector within California's economy. Agriculture sales increased by a whopping 400% over the past 30 years. Now California State has more than 80,000 farms and ranches which generate around $36.2 billion in revenue every year.

California State has a rather diverse weather conditions with the majority of California State have dry summers and rainy, cool winters. Along the shoreline, summer fog is created by the cool currents. As you move more inland, the winters tend to be colder and the summer months hotter. There tends to be more rainfall in the northern parts of the state compared to the southern. Amongst the rainiest parts are located on the mountain slopes of California State which face west, whilst the mountain ranges east sides produce a rain shadow, creating expansive deserts. Death Valley is a low-elevation desert, producing the hottest temperatures on the continent. Eastern California's higher elevation deserts produce cold winters and hot summer months. The Central Valley has a Mediterranean weather condition but greater extremes than the coastline. The Sierra Nevada Mountains have mild to moderate heat during summertime and snow in winter.
